*About the Agene Research Institute Co.,Ltd.
  • GeneCare Research Institute Co., Ltd. (briefly called GeneCare) was founded in December 2000 by seven scientists, including Dr. Yasuhiro Furuichi, then the director of the AGENE Research Institute Co., Ltd. (briefly called AGENE), aiming at commercializing the research products of AGENE, which received investment from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (then the Organization for Pharmaceutical Safety and Research) and four domestic pharmaceutical companies, and which terminated its research activity in March 2001.
